A thought-tool that has served me really well, is this: When I have a problem that is consuming me emotionally, I take a step back and I ask myself: Are you going to let the problem be bigger than you, or are you going to be bigger than the problem?
Often, that's enough to take the sting out of it. There's a shift in me. I get physically bigger than the problem, or the problem gets physically smaller than me. I can see it, I can feel it.
And now that I'm bigger than the problem, I can accommodate it.
